Pony car – the name invented especially for Ford Mustang debuted in 1965. These cars combined relatively small size and compact engines in the basic variants. They are mainly fan cars than performance monsters. Nevertheless, all pony cars had special modifications with big powerful V8s. Such modifications are referred to muscle cars without any shade of doubt.
